old mattress sparse room
the room seemed quite bare. the mattress was so old, i felt every spring. breakfast included mainly prepackaged items, not much fresh food. i know the city is expensive, but this stay didn't feel worth its price.

Decent Location, But Some Issues
ineffective air-conditioning mosquito problem
The location was good, near the Academia bridge, making it easy to get around (that was a relief).
The room felt quite small, not like the pictures I saw online. the air conditioning struggled to keep up with the summer heat. Opening the windows let in mosquitoes, and I woke up with several bites. I think they really need screens on the windows.

helpful staff amazing location dust window screens
the staff was very friendly and helpful. the location was amazing. the vibe really felt local and i appreciate all the history in the building. i would choose a place like this over a soulless hotel for sure.
there was some dust on the picture rail. the windows had no screens. i got bit a lot by mosquitoes because of this. i found this pretty annoying.
